Hello everyone,

I hope this little update finds you all well. The sun is shining again today, and Lilly (our lovely little doggy helper) has been snoozing away outside, dreaming of t-r-e-a-t-s (we have to spell it out as she goes crazy with excitement when we say the word in full!).

So what's been happening this last week or so... We are expecting delivery of a batch of samples from a new supplier. It is very exciting as we hope to be introducing a great range of even more new shapes, including lots of boxes as that is something many of you have been asking for. We hope to have the samples by early next week. We will let you know how we get on...

Also don't forget that you get an extra 5% off all your purchases by using your subscribers code at the website checkout.

FINAL THOUGHTS - LIVE A GREENER LIFE...
Here at Craftshapes HQ we use lists... lists for everything. If we need something doing, we make a list! Our final thoughts this week take the form of a simple list with a few tips for living a greener lifestyle...

We all know about recycling and saving energy, carbon footprints and reducing waste. Here we highlight some of the simpler and perhaps less obvious ways that you can live a little greener and help the envoronment...

1. Once your phone has finished charging unplug your charger. Even when it is not plugged into your phone it is using energy.

2. Always turn your phone off at night or whenever you don't need it. The longer the current charge lasts the less often you will need to re-charge it.

3. Visit your local charity shops. Take your unwanted items with you, of course, but whilst you're there have a good look to see if there are any items you need. Chrity shops are especially good for books. Buying charity shop items to re-use means one less new item is bought. That saves all the added packaging and production involved. You will save yourself some money too!

4. An alternative to putting magazines in the recycling is to donate them to your local doctors surgery or hospital. They are always looking for magazines for their waiting rooms.

5. Broken a plate or a mug? Don't throw it away, use any broken crockery as drainage at the bottom of your plant pots.

6. Go to this website (www.dma.org.uk) for details of how to get your name taken off the junk mail lists. It just takes a simple phone call to an automated service and viola! it is done! We have done this and it really works!!

7. Send your used inkjet cartridges (not epson) to a charity website. They sell them on to recycling servies and raise money for their charity in the process. Here is a link to the Oxfam service: www.oxfam.org.uk/what_you_can_do/recycle/toner.htm

8. Likewise you can do the same recycling of your old mobile phone sets through Oxfam. Here is the link:
www.oxfam.org.uk/what_you_can_do/recycle/phones.htm

9. Alternatively if you want to recycle your old phone and make a little money for yourself you can sell it to a recyling company like Envirofone. They will buy your old phone off you. They pay the postage and donate £1 to charity for every phone. Thier website is easy to use and gives you an instant price for your phone. www.envirofone.com/

Happy crafting! Until next time.

Best wishes to you all.
Steve & Clare :-)
